Certification Classes
HSI-certified courses taught on-site at your location, on your schedule — shifts, weekends, and multi-site teams welcome. Digital certifications are sent at the conclusion of every training, and a travel fee is quoted up front per booking, so there are no surprises.
Will your employer or licensing board accept HSI? HSI is a nationally accredited training organization, and its programs are accepted, approved, or recognized by thousands of employers, state regulatory agencies, and licensing boards across hundreds of occupations. Requirements vary by program and agency, so check yours before you book: Check HSI acceptance for your program → (HSI's official compliance page).
CPR / AED
Adult, child, and infant CPR with AED use — the core certification for workplaces, schools, fitness facilities, and community teams. Need First Aid too? The combined Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course is $100/person.
OSHA-aligned exposure control: safe cleanup, PPE, sharps handling, and what to do after an exposure incident. Book it as a standalone class, or add it to any First Aid/CPR/AED booking.
From $40 / person + travel fee · Or +$15 / person as an add-on to any First Aid/CPR/AED booking
Every specialty course is taught and certified through HSI by Dantee Johnson — an HSI Level 2 Instructor Trainer and HSI AVIRT Instructor, Training Center I.D. X7695. One instructor, one standard, every site.
How group tiers work: the rate is flat for the whole group — no per-person math. Plus a travel fee, quoted up front when you book. Medical Oxygen can also be added to another booking for +$25/person, and CABS seats are $85 each when families pay individually. Groups over 30: custom quote — call 856-415-3335.
Programs for Organizations
Beyond one-time classes: ongoing readiness programs for workplaces, school districts, leagues, childcare centers, property hosts, and maritime employers. Scan the tiles — details for each sit right below.
Stay Ready
Quarterly CPR/AED skills refreshers for workplaces that can't afford a two-year skills gap.
Certifications last two years; skills fade in under six months. Stay Ready is a short practice visit at your location every quarter, led by the same instructor team that certified you.
60–90 minutes on site: compression + AED practice on real manikins
One rotating scenario each visit — choking, severe bleeding, overdose response, anaphylaxis awareness
AED + bleeding-kit readiness check, with a written mini-report after every visit
Certification-expiry tracking for your roster, with a 60-day renewal heads-up
New-hire catch-up path, so nobody waits a year to get up to speed
Stay Ready 10 (up to 10 staff) $399/qtr · Stay Ready 20 (11–20) $549/qtr · Stay Ready 30 (21–30) $699/qtr · One plan per location; multi-location agreements on request. Skills practice, not re-certification — no card is issued from a refresher. Travel billed separately.
Under N.J.S.A. 18A:35-4.28–4.29, every NJ public and charter district serving grades 9–12 must give each student CPR/AED instruction — nationally recognized curriculum, hands-on for every student — before graduation. We deliver it inside your health periods and hand your office the proof.
Tier 1 — Mandate Delivery: HSI-modeled instruction, every student hands-on, participation certificates, completion roster + district letter within 2 business days
Tier 2 — Certification Upgrade: everything in Tier 1, plus full HSI CPR/AED certification — digital cards the same day
Blended delivery available: students learn online first, then certify in a shorter skills session — same certification, less class time lost
Make-up sessions included until the grade reaches 100% · adapted IEP/504 delivery included, never an upsell
Your compliance file done for you, plus a building AED location map and free Friend First teen packs for every student
Tier 1 — $1,200 covers up to 120 students in one day. Tier 2 — $4,500 covers up to 100 students in one day, every one certified. Smaller cohort or charter? Per-student rates available. The same agreement can add staff and coach certification at program rates, locked 12 months. Travel quoted separately. Certificate of insurance available on request.
One package takes your league from “we should do something” to done — we come to your field or facility, evenings and weekends.
Coach certification: CPR/AED only $75/coach · First Aid/CPR/AED $100/coach · $5 off per coach at 20+ · 30+ custom quote
Venue Emergency Action Plan — $295 per venue: who calls 911, who runs for the AED, which gate the ambulance uses — built with your league in a guided walk-through, printed for the binder and the gate
AED setup — $150 per device: placement, pads, and battery check, plus a monthly check log · optional quarterly verification $75/visit
Sideline recognition cards included for every certified coach — cardiac arrest, heat illness, head injury
Honestly: NJ bills S2695/S3198 would require coach certification — they are not law today, and we won't tell you they are. Book now and you're ready either way. Travel quoted separately.
Your guests are sleeping in a stranger's house. We make sure the house is ready for the worst five minutes of their stay — a certified HSI instructor walks the property, sets the safety layer up, documents it, and returns yearly to keep it true.
Full safety walk-through with a written log — kitchen & fire, pool/water, stairs, detectors, extinguishers
A stocked, labeled first-aid station with bleeding-control essentials — a real kit, not a bandage box
The guest house card: your property's address written as a 911 script, nearest hospital, host contact — on the wall before panic has to think
AED placement guidance + a “Host-Ready by Define Rescue” door card your listings can point to
Add-on: AED Program Management — documented inspections and pad/battery tracking (devices purchased by the owner through authorized distributors; we run the program and the paperwork)
A guest-safety setup and readiness service — not a code-compliance certification or home inspection. One agreement covers individual hosts and full portfolios.
N.J.A.C. 3A:52-5.3(o) requires at least two staff with current, certified First Aid + CPR knowledge in your center at all times children are present — with a hands-on component, not online-only training. One sick day or one expired card can break the rule mid-licensing-visit.
Certify on-site: Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, hands-on, same-day digital certs — $100/staff · $850 for up to 10 · $1,495 for 11–20
Stay covered: quarterly Stay Ready refreshers + expiry tracking with a 60-day heads-up — see Stay Ready above
For families: Parent Nights — infant/child CPR + choking awareness hosted at your center
Free compliance check: send us your staff certification dates; we'll map your roster against the two-staff rule. No cost, no obligation
Travel is always a separate line — never bundled, never waived. Certificate of insurance available on request.
The HSI Adult First Aid | CPR AED course we teach is accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center (Course Code HSINST–203) and satisfies the First Aid and CPR requirements for a merchant mariner credential under 46 CFR 11.201(i).
Every mariner receives both documents: the HSI digital certification and the signed Recognition of Participation (HSINST–203) — the card alone doesn't complete a mariner's file
Identity verified before training; hands-on practice + formal skills evaluation for every student
Class rosters kept on file for five years
Covers the credential's First Aid and CPR requirements; does not satisfy STCW endorsements. Employers: send your crew size and port for a cohort quote. Travel separate.
Compliance services for employers — separate from training. DOT & non-DOT drug and alcohol testing is a job-compliance service, not a training course, and is priced by custom quote.
DOT / Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing
Specimen collection & Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT). DOT and non-DOT urine specimen collection and breath alcohol testing for federal Part 40 and workplace policy compliance — pre-employment, random, and other testing.
AVIRT — Active Violence Emergency Response Training
Taught in cohorts of up to 15, AVIRT covers rapid threat assessment, tactical first aid and trauma care, and emergency evacuation & barricading — the skills a team needs in the first critical moments of an active-violence event.
$100 / person or $1,400 per cohort of up to 15 · Schools, nonprofits & houses of worship: $85 / person or $1,250 per cohort · Travel fee additional, quoted up front.
Maritime employers: USCG-accepted mariner First Aid/CPR/AED certification (HSINST–203) lives under Programs — see the mariner service →

Renewal reminders, handled with care. Your certifications come from HSI, and HSI emails you before they expire. Because you trained with us, we piggyback on that reminder with one of our own for our past certified clients — a friendly nudge before renewal is due, so your team is never caught off guard.
Preparedness kids actually remember — assemblies, a take-home challenge week, a mini-show for the littlest learners, and graduation-requirement delivery for districts.
“Prepared, Not Scared” Assemblies
Our high-energy school assembly with Coach Danee, Press, Professor Pulse, and Pep the Whistle.
Here's a short taste of our kids' safety game: two missions you can play right on this page — the Check · Call · Care chant with Coach Danee, and hands-only CPR to the real 110-beat-per-minute tempo with Press. Big energy, real skills, zero scary stuff.

Coach Danee's chant has three steps. Tap them in order — twice through — to earn your first demo star.
Ready?
Start with step 1: Check — is the person okay?
Real CPR compressions go at 110 beats per minute. Start a 20-second round, watch the gold beat dot, and press the big button right on the beat — 10 on-beat presses earns your second demo star.

A high-energy school assembly that teaches kids what to do in an emergency — check, call, care — through music, movement, and the Response Crew. Preparedness, never fear. The assembly teaches awareness and response basics; it does not certify students.
Meet the Response Crew
Four characters kids remember long after the assembly ends — each one carries a job in an emergency. They're the same crew kids play with in the “Prepared, Not Scared” app.
Coach Danee
The instructor kids follow — she leads the crew and teaches Check · Call · Care.
“Check. Call. Care. — now say it with me!”
Press
The gentle giant in gold — he teaches compressions, the beat that keeps a heart going.
“Push hard, push fast — I've got you.”
Professor Pulse
The crew's brain — the flask hero who explains how hearts and AEDs work in words every kid understands.
“Let's check the science!”
Pep the Whistle
The smallest crew member with the biggest entrance — his blast means CALL 911!
“ta-WEET ta-WEET!”
1 The Chant
Kids learn Check · Call · Care with a clap-along chant they'll be singing in the hallway for weeks.
2 The Skills
Calling 911, finding an adult, AED awareness, and first aid basics — practiced live with the crew.
3 The App
The learning continues in the classroom with the “Prepared, Not Scared” app — six missions, six badges — shared privately with your school after the assembly.
Coach Danee in Action — Real Students, Real Skills
This isn't a cartoon — it's Dantee in a real school library, teaching real elementary students hands-only CPR. Every assembly is hands-on like this: kids practice compressions on the mat while she coaches them through it.
Watch her teach — Dantee leading a hands-only CPR practice session with elementary students. Press play: real class, real kids, real skills.Hands-on, every studentDantee coaches each child through compressions — no watching from the sidelines.
Assembly & App Pricing
Assembly: $750 + travel fee. App license: $299 per school per year — first year free with a booked assembly. Small schools and co-ops: $49 per classroom per year.
Home Challenge Week — Included With Every Assembly
The assembly that goes home with them: every student takes the Response Crew Home Check Sheet home, finishes four family missions during the week — spot the AED, make the family plan, sing the Chant, practice the 911 call — and returns it Friday for the Family Drawing.
Check sheet in three editions: standard · Spanish · large-print accessible
Adapted materials for special-needs audiences included with the assembly — never an upsell; they support, never replace, a child's IEP/504 and school plan
Your school receives the counted number of families who practiced at home
Included with every “Prepared, Not Scared” assembly — no separate fee. Strong weeks: Fire Prevention Week · Restart a Heart Day (Oct 16) · Heart Month · CPR & AED Awareness Week (Jun 1–7).
“Prepared, Not Scared Jr.” — our 20-minute mini-show for ages 3–5: story, song, and one skill (get a grown-up, fast), closing with the Pre-K Pledge. Adapted delivery for every learner included; quoted with your program plan. Book a Jr. show →

Young participants earn skills and a completion badge; HSI certification applies only where HSI age rules allow.
